GROWING TOGETHER

There’s a disparity between the treatment and support of farmers of color.

In 1910, 14% of all farm owner-operators were Black or African American. By 2012, black farmers compromised less than 2% of the farmers in America.

While there seems to be an increase in interest by young and beginning farmers of diverse races, more often than not, they start out at a disadvantage lacking access to family land, wealth, and opportunity to grow what they want.

We crafted a plan to close the Farming Gap in partnership with legacy agriculture and tech brand, John Deere.
